The Fiumicino seafront: free beaches and lidos
The coastline between Isola Sacra and Focene alternates long free stretches of beach with lidos offering sunbeds, umbrellas and kiosks: pick what you like day by day, no season pass needed. The sand is dark, typical of the Roman coast, and the beaches are used mostly by Romans and locals, making them more authentic and cheaper than tourist hotspots. A few minutes away, the canal harbour's seafood restaurants await after a day at the sea.
From the seafront to FCO airport and Rome
From Coastal Whisper and Posidonia, Leonardo da Vinci Airport is about 9-10 minutes by car: many guests pair a beach holiday with the night before or after a flight, with self check-in from 3 PM to 2 AM covering late arrivals. Central Rome is 30-40 minutes by car on the Roma-Fiumicino highway, and on request we arrange private transfers via WhatsApp: a day at the Colosseum and the historic centre, an evening on the beach.
