Life in Focene: beach, services and neighbourhood
Focene is a residential seaside neighbourhood, popular mostly with Romans and locals: no crowds, quiet streets and a long sandy beach with free stretches and equipped clubs. From Coastal Whisper the supermarket is 150 metres away, a café 200 and the beach 700: everything is walkable. In the evening there are small restaurants along the shore, or a few minutes' drive takes you to Fiumicino's canal harbour and its seafood restaurants.
From Focene to FCO airport and Rome
Leonardo da Vinci Airport is about 9 minutes by car, which is why guests choose Focene both for beach holidays and for the night before or after a flight, with self check-in from 3 PM to 2 AM covering late arrivals. Street parking is free and easy. Central Rome is 30-40 minutes by car on the Roma-Fiumicino highway: handy for a day at the Colosseum and the historic centre before coming back to sleep by the sea.
